The 36-acre site in Laramie consists of over 10 acres of landscape, including a tennis court, soccer field, track and football field, and plenty of open space for students to learn and mingle. We communicated with the contractor and school irrigation staff on a regular basis to ensure that we followed the school's design standards and their preferred design intent.
Project Name:
Yuma High School Renovations
Location:
Yuma, Colorado
Site Design:
Ripley Design contacted Michelle to aid in the renovations of the Yuma High School. Two phases of construction were to expand the school to the north, which would include a new AG shop, and a new gym on the south side, which would include a new weight room. These two renovations altered the existing sod areas and parking lot on the south side and the practice field on the west of the existing school building. We worked closely with the school's maintenance staff to locate the existing water source and current system to determine the extent of renovation needed to the irrigation system. In the end, a new booster pump and practice field system with large rotors was installed to ensure that proper coverage was present within the practice field. Construction in progress.
Project Name:
West Ridge Charter Academy
Location:
Greeley, Colorado
Site Design:
For years the Old Hewlett Packard site sat empty, waiting for new life, until Denver Owned City Center West moved in and began building. Amongst the commercial and retail sites, you'll find a new K8 Charter Academy. The old HP building on the north side of the campus was renovated and built out. As part of an overall 9-acre site, the school is currently built on 5 acres, including a new irrigation system which irrigates the new sod and plantings. The system was designed with future expansion in mind. Remaining acres will be developed at a later date and will include a track and field.
